Hello everyone! I thought I would post an update about what I’ve been up to and what I am doing now.
Near the end of my time in the Middle East I decided that instead of returning home as planned that I would go to Romania to help with the refugee crisis caused by the war. I was there from May to mid-July partnering with Hope Church Romania and their ministry programs to Ukrainians. During my time there I helped provide for the needs of the Ukrainians living under our care, prepare supply convoys to be sent into Ukraine, and facilitated groups of refugees in transit across Romania. This was one of the hardest yet most rewarding ministries I ever worked with and am so grateful for the opportunity I had to get involved with them.
Partway through my time in Romania I decided that I would attend Adventure in Mission’s discipleship program. Their focus is to help people learn how to lead themselves well so that they can in turn lead others well. My heart behind doing this program was to provide a set aside time and space to build leadership qualities and confidence in me and to have time to find healing from things that have come up for me while on the field.
We are church a few weeks in and it has already challenged me in numerous ways but I am excited and encouraged about what the future holds.
With this program we have the opportunity to invite people into helping cover our costs for the program (tuition and housing) and so if you are interested in that my donation button and link is still live.
If you want to hear more from me about what I’m up to feel free to contact me through the “contact me tab” on my blog!
Emily – Ang and I are so very proud of you! Keep up the FANTASTIC work! Love you!
Emily, I am so excited for you and this opportunity for deeper discipleship. I hope you discover what your soul desires. And may your spirit thrive.
Blessings, Verna
